We went to Rankin Lake to do “Keep Gastonia Beautiful”. The half of the class that went to the Lake to put together cankerworm kits. The other have went and did yard work around the lake. The group I was in went to make cankerworm kits when we got there. Our group helped out so much and we made so many of these kits because not very many people work to do this regularly or even on a daily bases, so giving our time to them as much as we can helps them out a lot. While we were there, our group split up into probably four groups and we worked on separate jobs to make the kit. Each group had one job, so when we formed groups, my group marked and cut cotton strips, some people rolled this black looking felt, some people rolled the cotton strips, and others placed everything in the bags. I had a lot of fun doing the kits and even though we had to roll out the cotton, mark it, and cut it, then do it over and over again.
